A new way to communicate preferences to AI through tier lists
TierListGPT is a website that helps enable democratized alignment by letting folks rank items on a tier list to express their preferences. I created it in 48 hours as a way for folks to build their own "algorithms" of their preferences that developers could use as a universal preference API. The next weekend over 48 hours I filmed 5 demos, then redid the site a few weeks later into an preference alignment experiment with A/B testing capabilities in 4 days.
