A modern professor rating tool for better class insights.
I led building Wyr as the PM of a student incubator, a professor rating platform that simplifies the process of comparing professors and finding the right class. It integrates data from multiple sources, including SIRS (internal Rutgers reviews) and Reddit, for a comprehensive view of professor performance. The value prop is two-fold: search by your class and then filter for the professor reviews only for that class, no others. Also, get more data by seeing internal Rutgers reviews alongside reddit reviews. When engineers failed to scrape reviews from ratemyprofessor, I spent >15 hours over a weekend copying reviews manually to pre-fill ratemyprofessor reviews on the site for launch day, having learned from my The LX project the importance of content being on the site at launch.
